The menu composed of Subway’s signature submarine-style sandwiches. It spearheaded by its flagship offering, the “Italian BMT” (which originally stands for “Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit”, but was changed to “Biggest, Meatiest, and Tastiest”, for promotional reasons, of course). Also, on its roster of unique treats are its “Subway Club” and “Veggie Delight”, amongst others. Living up to its tagline “Eat Fresh”, Subway clients are ensured that their food is prepared on the spot and is easily customizable to suit the consumer’s personal preferences.

Primarily consisting of Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni, and Black Forest Ham, Subway’s “Italian BMT” is not for the faint of heart. Weighing in at around 200 (and up) grams for the 6-inch “smaller version”. Subway amounts to a whopping 410 calories in the standard menu and more if you choose to have it prepared with your choice of other ingredients. You can double that amount too if you are getting the full 12-inch version.

Also paying attention to its local clientele, Subway also incorporates into its menu, the variations that are suited to its’ store’s locations. In deference to its Hindu and Muslim beliefs respectively, Subway locations in India does not serve beef and pork products and has an extended vegetarian range to meet the population’s high percentage of vegans. Slight modifications such as the use of soy-based cheese products, and the exclusion of pork-based products on some locations, ensure clients that their products are virtually identical as to any other Subway restaurant.
